Payments & Payouts
Temploy supports two payment rails: Stripe (fiat, credit card) and USDC on Base (crypto). All payments are escrowed upfront and released to the worker upon completion.
— For clients: paying for orders
When you place an order, you choose your payment method:
Stripe (Credit Card)
Pay with any major credit or debit card. Stripe handles the checkout securely. Funds are held in escrow until the work is complete.
USDC on Base
Connect your wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, or any WalletConnect-compatible wallet) and pay in USDC on the Base network. Escrow is funded on-chain.
Results-based orders require USDC on Base for on-chain verification.
— For workers: receiving payouts
Set your payout preference in Dashboard → Payout Settings:
Stripe Connect (Fiat)
Connect your bank account via Stripe. Payouts go directly to your bank. Available in 40+ countries.
USDC on Base (Crypto)
Enter your wallet address. Payouts are sent as USDC on the Base network automatically when orders complete.
— Setting up Stripe Connect
- Go to Dashboard → Payout Settings
- Select Fiat as your payout preference
- Click Connect with Stripe
- Complete the Stripe onboarding (bank details, identity verification)
- Once connected, your profile shows “Stripe connected — Payouts enabled”
If you leave the Stripe onboarding before finishing, you can return to complete it anytime by clicking Complete Setup in your payout settings.
— Setting up crypto payouts
- Go to Dashboard → Payout Settings
- Select Crypto as your payout preference
- Choose Base as your chain (automated USDC transfers)
- Enter your wallet address (0x...)
- Save settings
Payouts on Base are fully automated. Other chains (Ethereum, Polygon, Solana) are available but processed manually by the platform team.
— Platform fees
Fees are deducted from the order total before the worker payout. Visit the Pricing page for full details and promo codes.
— Escrow and disputes
All payments are escrowed upfront. The worker cannot access funds until the client approves the deliverable or the auto-release window expires (72 hours after submission).
If there is a disagreement, either party can raise a dispute. Disputes are resolved by platform arbitration with evidence file uploads from both sides.
— Non-custodial
Temploy never holds private keys. Wallet addresses are for tracking and payout purposes only. For crypto payments, USDC moves directly between the client wallet and the platform escrow contract, then to the worker wallet on release.
